Reinstatement of pavements and footways
Candidates are trained to properly reinstate modular surfaces such as paving slabs and blocks using the correct materials, tools and techniques. This course consists of both classroom based training and practical exercises.  Candidates will use appropriate tools and materials on CPQ’s own bespoke training site.
CPQ offers tailored training courses in all the 16 NRSW units that make up the 12 full Street Works qualifications. Successful candidates can apply for a Street Works card as proof of their skills and can hold one or all qualifications listed below.

The New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 (NRASWA) sets out the procedures and guidelines that all utility companies need to adhere to when placing or maintaining their equipment on the highway.

The Act and associated Codes of Practice cover the notification requirements, the safety to highway users and the standards required of the reinstatement of all excavations on the highway.
