SEPTEMBER 2006 - CPQ has grant funding. CPQ
clients can even make a profit from training
Commercial and Professional Qualifications Ltd (CPQ), the Sussex based
construction plant training company has announced that it has been approved
as having the skills to allow it to offer government grant funding to
its clients….and
the client can still receive a CITB grant. CPQ clients will make a profit
from training!
CPQ is now able to offer certain of its clients NVQ’s
for free. The Plant Operations NVQ is needed before a CPCS Trained Operator
(Red) Card can upgrade to a CPCS Competence (Blue) Card. CPQ is encouraging
its clients to take their colleagues through the NVQ immediately on completion
of the Red Card assessment.
This makes sure that the Blue Card can be issued at the earliest possible
opportunity. It is also financially attractive for companies to do this
because the NVQ itself is free and the Construction Industry Training
Board (CITB) pays a grant to applicable employers when the NVQ is completed.

Commenting, James McClean, CPQ’s MD, said:
‘This is great news for our clients. The lucky ones will actually
be able to make a profit by training colleagues. Clients should be queuing
up for this service. Not only will they receive the NVQ for free, but
also the CITB will pay grant on completion.
I am very pleased that CPQ has been chosen. It shows that our services
are highly regarded in government circles. This is a great credit to our
team and public recognition of our skills.’
