The Driver CPC qualification is for UK based passenger and freight drivers who drive professionally. Introduced as part of the EU Directive 2003/59 training is designed to improve the knowledge and skills of professional bus and truck drivers throughout their careers.

Know as Periodic Training, Driver CPC is mandatory for all professional LGV and PCV drivers. Both new and existing drivers have to complete thirty five hours of periodic training every five years. Drivers will be reassured to know that the training involves no exams or written questions. Instead, it is made up of a series of five interactive lectures which can be attended in any order over the five year period.

CPQ as a Joint Approvals Unit for Periodic Training (JAUPT) approved provider offers professional drivers periodic training at its training centre in Billingshurst West Sussex and at many other locations throughout the UK. Training courses can be organised to fit around your business' busiest periods and staggered so not all your drivers are absent at the same time
The Driver CPC Qualification

The initial qualification must be achieved by all new LGV and PCV drivers along with their vocational licence.

Periodic training of 35 hours every 5 years must be attended by all professional drivers.
